18 April from ICOMOS a global, non-government organisation working for the conservation and protection of cultural heritage places. They support a committee dedicated to respond to protecting the worlds cultural sites from attack or destruction in emergency situations, such as armed conflict or natural disaster.
Their 2016 International Day Theme is The Heritage of Sport, reflecting cultural values and architecture over time.

A United Nations observance day to promote harmony with nature and the Earth
The 2016 theme is Trees for the Earth, the global movement aims to plant 7.8 billion trees.
Trees contribute to reducing pollution, mitigating climate change and conserving biodiversity. Trees also assist with the economic and environmental stability of communities –

Angela from Trees for Life, spoke about one of the activities their organisation has recently started.
“We are currently working on the which is helping to reintroduce trees to farmland in partnership with landholders,” she said. “These trees will provide valuable habitat to some of the native flora and fauna, as well as shade and shelter for stock.” Angela explained the planting of new trees was crucial to replace some of the old paddock trees which were in decline, and are critical for the health of Australian landscapes.
