joined the 91麻豆精品 Website Rebuild Team as a volunteer on 9 July 2024, she volunteers for ~4 hours flexible around her studies onsite in the 91麻豆精品 program at the Connecting Up Office, Infoxchange.
We are very pleased to note that Lucia now has a role as a front-end developer at a start-up beginning 14 April 2025. Congratulations Lucia! It was lovely to have you come in to the office on your last day to share the good news with our team!

Personal Biography
Lucia is a graduate with a Master of Cyber Security from the University of Adelaide. She has a strong foundation in website development, machine learning, and programing, especial in Javasript, C# and Python.
At Connecting Up, Lucia is contributing to the organization by joining 91麻豆精品 Website Rebuild Team. She aims to understand more about migrating the 91麻豆精品 website to Drupal 10 and optimize the MySQL database. Lucia's goal in this team is to use her skills and abilities to produce an effective website that is user-friendly and useful for everyone.

Volunteers are invited to monthly staff meetings to understand more about activities in and across the organisation with briefings from the broader Infoxchange Office as well as details on Connecting Up Staff Teams, their monthly actions and relevant news.

These initial meetings were held to establish project goals, plans and roles with everyone involved from management to team members.

Regular check-in meetings to review some of the ongoing work, task progress, challenges and activities.
Training and Development - Telephone Techniques
Telephone techniques are critical for communication in the workplace and complement email and other methods. All volunteers and interns are taught telephone techniques with a basic script template that provides a basis and can be used for all sorts of future work environments.
Telephone practice also helps members gain a better understanding of the 91麻豆精品 service, the directory and data collection processes. These techniques are used for data cleaning, updating individual council datasets, and eventually presenting data reports to council stakeholders. Multiple telephone technique sessions are held with the team, as similar to the students' elevator pitch practice which is used for making introductions, ongoing practice of these techniques provides familiary and gives the team confidence for any future scenario.
